After Diddy expressed his desires to buy the NFL team, the Carolina Panthers, you’d think people would commend the music and business mogul for his huge ambition. Especially considering that Diddy, reported to be worth $820 million, received co-signs from NBA star Stephen Curry and NFL player and activist, Colin Kaepernick, on the venture.
However, not everyone was as enthusiastic about the news. Earlier today, Channel 4 news anchor Darya Folsom and another on-air correspondent went back and forth belittling Diddy on venture. It all started when a male correspondent called into Folsom’s on-air segment, and reacted to Diddy’s video, where the Bad Boy CEO initially expressed his wishes to buy the team.
“How can you take Diddy seriously? The guy looks high right there in that video. He looks like he smoked a blunt and dranked a 40 [oz. beer] and he said look, ‘I’ll buy the [Panthers].’ I can’t take him seriously! You gotta stay in your comfort zone. If you know music, go and do your music thing!”
